Grey Matters!

Apparently, President Obama is having a challenging first month in office. After having had his foreign policy and skin colour subject to months of intense political scrutiny, the American public has now focussed its attention on the president's rapidly greying head of hair.

Well, at least they know he's been keeping busy. It's funny though how anybody in the public eye (who wishes to remain in the public eye) must submit himself/herself to a prying intimacy once reserved for trailer trash celebrities. Remember the 'Obama in a swimsuit' photo sensation, not to mention what I thought was a rather emotionally manipulative letter to his daughters after his win, which probably reached the editorial desk of Parade Magazine before it did the poor kids.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the President's massive PR entourage was behind this story. The New York Times, however, that published this stunning revelation is already getting a bad rap for their perplexing choice of putting it up as front page news!


Unfortunately, we have no such marker for our Indian Prime Ministers since the past five we've had, entered office looking like this:







I think we as a nation just heave a sigh of relief if our Prime Ministers are still alive by the time they've finished their time in office.
